Social Worker - Maternity Cover

You will be based at our Wiltshire or Dorset Hospice and work across Wiltshire and Dorset in the homes of the children we look after and be expected too: To manage the Social Work provision for all Children/Young people and families supported by Julias House. Plan, establish and develop Social Support and the expansion of existing services for Julias House, in close liaison with the Family Support Services Lead and Strategic Nursing Team., To manage the Social Work provision for all Children/Young people and families supported by Julias House. Plan, establish and develop Social Support and the expansion of existing services for Julias House, in close liaison with the Family Support Services Lead and Strategic Nursing Team. To take a lead role within Safeguarding (Adults and Children) for Julias House and for the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, providing advice and guidance to colleagues in line with local council policy under the direction of the identified Safeguarding Leads. To ensure that Julias House Safeguarding and MCA policies, procedures and training plans are robust, fit for purpose, reviewed and updated in line with Julias House policy review guidance and national guidelines. To hold a caseload of patients and families with significant social, practical and emotional complex needs, delivering responsive and high quality social work support to patients and families.
