Full Job Description

Derbyshire County Council are currently recruiting to the Out of Hours AMHP Team. We are looking to appoint suitably qualified Approved Mental Health Professionals to act on behalf of Derbyshire County Council to triage and undertake Mental Health Act assessments out of hours. The service currently operates between 16:00pm and 7am weekdays, and full coverage weekends and bank holidays across Derbyshire. The service operates as part of Derbyshire's 24-hour AMHP service and currently only undertakes Mental Health Act assessments and associated work within urgent care pathways.
Requirements for the role:
+ AMHP Qualification and preferably post qualifying experience working in an Emergency Duty Team setting.
+ Share in a duty worker rota through out the week which will mean being responsible for the triage and allocation of Mental Health Act Assessments.
+ Knowledge and experience of working across health and social care settings, as well as the ability to collaborate and support professionals working across the urgent care pathways.
+ Knowledge and ability to apply the Mental Health Act 1983, Care Act 2014, Safeguarding Adults procedures and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. An understanding of the interfaces between the Childrens Act 1989, Mental Capacity Act and the Mental Health Act 1983.
+ Attending and contributing to local AMHP forums and team meetings. Maintaining statutory training for the AMHP role.

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.
Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.

SW Grade 9-11 - An initial one off lump sum 'Welcome payment' of £1500 (pro-rata) is attached to this post, payable in your first salary.
