A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Kingston upon Thames is looking for a dynamic Sociology Teacher to join their dedicated Humanities team. - Inspire and engage: Deliver thought-provoking lessons on topics like social inequality, culture, identity, and social change, fostering a love of sociology in your students.
- Facilitate critical thinking: Encourage students to analyze social structures, challenge assumptions, and develop their own informed perspectives.
- Connect with the real world: Bring sociology to life through current events, debates, documentaries, and real-world case studies.
- Nurture every student: Provide differentiated instruction and support to meet the diverse needs of your learners, ensuring everyone reaches their full potential.
- Collaborate and grow: Work closely with a supportive team of Humanities teachers to develop engaging curricula and contribute to a thriving department.
A degree in Sociology or a related field. - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A strong understanding of the KS4 and KS5 Sociology curriculum.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A genuine passion for sociology and a commitment to student success.
