Full Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our established Client Digital Solutions team responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions across both our UK and Netherlands services sectors and our wider international clients., Skills necessary to develop, deploy, test, and support cloud applications.
Involvement in the development of new external software solutions.
Use Microsoft Azure to develop and deploy software solutions in line with the agreed architecture.
To assist in the creation of backlog items, size estimation, and translation of backlog items into effective and efficient running code, ensuring acceptance criteria are met.
Testing and deploying cloud applications using continuous integration, code quality checks, and distribution pipelines.
Ensuring non-functional requirements including security considerations are met in the development of the solutions.
Supporting existing solutions and assisting in their maintenance and support.
Providing additional application troubleshooting and support where necessary.
Producing suitable end-user / technical documentation and guidance notes.
Working closely with other developers and software testers to ensure a high level of quality to your development.
Adhere to defined development processes and standards.
Effective time management to ensure deadlines are met and issues are raised appropriately.
Assist in the mentoring of junior members of the team as requested.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

You will be an experienced Software developer, working as part of a dedicated software development team, under the guidance of senior members on all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

You will have a strong willingness to learn and seek solutions and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities. You will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, and be able to collaborate effectively to achieve performance targets. Be adaptable, have a continuous learning mindset, attention to detail, and strong time management skills., Experience in a commercial software development environment.
Knowledge & experience in developing Microsoft Azure based solutions.
Extensive experience in a Front-end UI framework, such as Angular or React.
Strong knowledge of C# & .Net.
API development experience.
Good knowledge in JavaScript, HTML 5, and CSS.
Experience and application of unit testing within development.
Familiarity with source control processes and techniques (GIT).
Desirable:

Experience in Database Development (SQL Server, Cosmos or similar).
Client facing experience (at a technical level).
Experience in Azure DevOps to undertake project related tasks (Backlog, Repo, CICD).
Infrastructure as code (Bicep) experience.
GIS experience / awareness.
