Full Job Description
As a back-end Drupal developer in our development team, you will be part of a team managing the main Oxfordshire County Council website along with several smaller sites. Your role will involve:
- developing and maintaining custom modules on our main website and several smaller sites
- ensuring seamless integration with front-end components
- optimising the performance of our Drupal-based applications You'll work closely with our front-end developer, UX/UI designers and Dev Ops to deliver a great user experience for the residents of Oxfordshire. Your experience with PHP (Symfony), MySQL, Drupal's API, Docker/Lando, and DevOps environments will be crucial to your role.,
- Develop and maintain custom Drupal modules.
- Optimise website performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-sidelogic.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs.
- Ensure the website is secure.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
You will be a skilled Drupal back-end developer with a strong PHP, MySQL, and Drupal development background. Essential: - Proven experience as a Drupal Back-End Developer.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and Drupal 8/9/10.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to workindependentlyand as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to work in sprints as part of a team engaging in the planning, refinement and associated processes. Desirable:
