Full Job Description

We are looking for a Software Developer to join the Frontier team, on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a fully homebased role but there will be a requirement to attend sites when needed. You will manage reporting requirements received by the team and develop dashboards and reports that allow the end user to find solutions based on the desired outcome. You will maintain the existing set of dashboards and reports, improving with each new technology release, and fix any bugs raised. Working with other Developers, Product Managers, and Delivery Leads in Scrum teams, you will build efficient programs and systems that serve Customer needs.,

  • You will be able to review existing Power BI artifacts and consider improvements
  • You will be able to review legacy reporting solutions and suggest migration strategies into PowerBI
  • You will seek to understand the various sources and the differences between them, their integrity and how they can or cannot be compared to one another
  • You will provide dashboards that can tell a full story, and which enable analysts and managers to gather insights and draw conclusions from them.
  • You will stay up-to-date with the newer version of Power BI and look at providing a suitable balance of self-service to alleviate your own workload by providing the users enough ability to carry out analysis for themselves.
  • You shall identify the business value of new reports, prove the concept and be able to influence stakeholders on why they should be built.
  • You will look backwards at the data warehouse process and enable reports that can monitor the ETL estate.
  • Your Role As a Software Developer your role will involve :
  • Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies
  • Working with other developers to design algorithms and process design documents
  • Producing clean, efficient code based on specifications
  • Integrating software components and third-party programs
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing software
  • Recommending and executing improvements
  • Maintaining and supporting allocated products and applications and continually improving the performance of the software
  • Contributing to the knowledge base of agreed design and development artefacts in Frontier KB systems
  • Working with fellow team members to ask for help, improve overall knowledge, and output of the team
  • Contributing to development standards and measures
  • Collaborating with the team and stakeholders to build new product features
  • Documenting Customer Requirements
  • Gathering and evaluating Customer feedback

    Strong skills in PowerBI and SQL database queries
