Full Job Description

The SDE's (Software Development Engineer) role is to work within in a development team to design, build and maintain bespoke software applications for the Bupa Dental UK business.
You will work within an Agile process to shape solutions that help the business achieve their targets and improve workflows and processes throughout Bupa Dental UK.
The SDE will have:
+
o in-depth understanding of development best practices
o mastered the tools needed to debug and diagnose issues in any type of environment
o the ability to understand the scope and relationships of large features and production stack for their area
o subject matter expertise in at least one component
o have a good understanding of all components of their product
You will be able to:
+
o perform complex programming tasks
o participate in code reviews
o sign off on small features
o write and execute test plans
o write functional specifications for small features
o given a medium to large understood problem, the SDE can design and implement a solution
o show initiative and offers assistance when needed
o deliver feedback in a constructive manner
o Provides guidance to entry-level engineers
o works well with technical leads, incorporating feedback as needed
o helps focus discussion on important aspects
