Full Job Description

We have four development teams, each made up of JavaScript developers, technical writers, test engineers and a development manager. You'll also work closely with our DevOps/Platform team, and product managers who'll help you stay on track.

You should be a self-starter who takes the initiative. You'll need a proactive management style, sparking enthusiasm in the team and spotting problems before they happen. Before joining us, you'll have led at least one Agile development team, balancing technical know-how with strong people management skills. You'll need to be familiar with our technology stack (TypeScript, JavaScript and React) and be able to understand dependencies, blockers and key aspects of the development process. You'll be the bridge between development and production teams, so you'll need strong communication skills and should be comfortable sharing feedback and building a common vision. You might also have:

  • A more in-depth knowledge of code architecture, web development, infrastructure and how to deliver software products
  • Experience in guiding team members in their career development
  • Familiarity with data visualization or analysis technologies.

It's rare to find a company that values technical and commercial experience equally, but the sustainable, thoughtful growth of Cambridge Intelligence has created a work culture that values all ideas and opinions.
