Full Job Description

Within our Cloud & Foundational Platforms organisation we are looking for a Software Engineer III - Cloud Graph Platforms who has a thirst for knowledge and maintains the highest standards. This is an opportunity to be a member of our highly strategic graph database space, a key growth area over the coming years as the demand grows around leveraging AI/ML capabilities. Our group is responsible for building centralized platform & database services across public cloud and hybrid cloud (on-prem & public cloud). These services are leveraged by all of our lines of business across the globe . We are building managed services for multiple graph database technologies including TigerGraph & Neo4j, both providing cutting edge capabilities and already used widely across the firm. They will eventually be made available across AWS, Azure, GCP and on-premise (Gaia). .,

    Formal training or certification on Analytical and problem solving concepts and proficient advanced experience

  • Experience with at least two of the following languages: Python, Java, C, C++, C#, Go

  • Experience with NoSQL database products, graph based ideally

  • Practical experience of architecting & developing applications or platforms on any one of the major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google). Industry cloud certifications are a bonus

  • Knowledge and experience of industry wide technology strategies and best practices

  • Unit-testing framework(s) & BDD/TDD

  • Infrastructure-as-code experience - Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and/or Salt

  • Understanding and experience of Agile and Lean philosophies including experience with JIRA, YouTrack and/or similar

  • Experience of Python frameworks - Django/Flask etc.

  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication, Experience with relational databases

  • Understanding the importance of great documentation and a passion for helping customers

  • Comfortable in setting and defining strategic priorities and working with product management

  • Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals

  • CI/CD pipelines preferably including Jenkins, Bamboo and/or Spinnaker

  • Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (including IBM WebSphere) and/or Heroku

  • Experience with core services including Active Directory, Kerberos and DNS
