Software Engineering Apprenticeship - London

On our Software Engineering Apprenticeship, you'll bring your passion for technology and eagerness to gain new skills to our organisations and help ensure we stay ahead in an ever-evolving digital world. Over the course of three years, you'll build and maintain sophisticated electronic equipment, engage with our supportive tech teams, and realise your potential.

You'll do an induction followed by a 6-month period spent on your degree and an innovation project to develop your knowledge and skills. From there, you'll take on real business tasks in software engineering, collaborate with fellow apprentices, and gain experience across diverse multi-disciplinary teams. Throughout the three-year programme, you'll continue to receive training, mentoring and support. During a standard week, you'll be expected to work 36 hours with 20% of your time dedicated to study, which is possible to do from home. Occasionally, you'll be required to travel to our training site based in London or Central Manchester.

To join, you'll have (or be expecting by September 2025) 72 UCAS points as well as GCSE grade 4/C or above in English language and maths, or equivalent functional skills (Level 2).

To be eligible to apply, you must be a British Citizen. If you hold dual nationality, of which one component is British, you'll nonetheless be considered. Candidates must normally have been resident in the UK for seven out of the last ten years. This is particularly important if you were born outside the UK.
