Full Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with a strong software development background to work with the software engineering teams, product teams to drive and communicate internal developments which support strategic projects and programmes. You will be working with highly technical engineering leads and Product Management.
You will have a demonstrable strong technical background which is relevant to stack development ideally with some experience in AI or parallel compute systems. You may have been working previously as an engineering lead, technical product owner or technical project manager.
About the Software Programme Team
The Software Programme and Project team sits within Engineering. We are responsible for the planning and delivery of the software stack. Ensuring that a quality software stack is delivered against the timeline and meets the requirements of the wider organisation and customers.
Responsibilities and Duties

Coordinate complex System Software projects with inputs from both internal core technology requirements and incoming customer product features
Work with Product Management and development teams to ensure that we have a well-managed, ranked backlog
Work with Release Management and Engineering teams to pull together timelines
Understand the technical aspects of the software so that you can contribute meaningfully to priority discussions
Help coach the teams with aspects of agile best practice and work with all stakeholders in running a SAFe Agile (like) process
Provide clear and concise forecasting and reporting of progress towards delivery. Call out issues, risks and drive decisions to be made by Engineering and Product teams.
Monitor and track dependencies for both internal and external work, communicating any near-term inputs
Contribute to new process development, roll-out process improvements, and support the achievement of delivery goals for the business

Minimum 5 years software engineering experience post graduation
Track record of working with Agile project development practices, for example: SCRUM, SAFe
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills at all levels of the company
Experience working with tracking and task management tools
An ability to work independently without daily oversight in projects that can rapidly evolve and change
Solid analytical skills, and the ability to clearly communicate requirements at different levels
An understanding of dependencies, priorities, risks, issues, impacts and constraints
A proven track record of delivering technical output, perhaps as an individual contributor, manager or project manager
Minimum is a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject

Desirable:

Background in HPC, AI or parallel computing systems preferred
Worked with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
Experience working with satellite teams
