We're looking for an enthusiastic individual with solar operations experience to drive the end to end customer journey. You'll be responsible for the growth and performance of a region and driving excellence across sales, design and customer operations.
The Solar Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of solar operations within their region. This role combines leadership, operational management, and customer-focused strategies to ensure the successful implementation of solar projects from customer enquiry through to installation. The Solar Regional Manager will lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure exceptional customer experiences throughout the solar journey.,

  • Own the operational delivery of solar projects within the region, ensuring that every installation is completed to the highest standards.

  • Manage and support a team of function managers and onboarding specialists to deliver excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

  • Develop and implement a regional strategy that aligns with company goals, including resource management, project throughput, and customer satisfaction.

  • 2. Team Management and Development:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 2-4 multi-skilled team leaders as well as a team of sales and onboarding specialists, fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Ensure teams are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge through ongoing training and development programs.

  • Promote a one-team environment, encouraging collaboration and innovation across all functions involved in the solar installation process.

  • 3. Customer Experience and Service Excellence:
  • Take ownership of the customer journey from customer enquiry, through sales to post-sale onboarding to installation, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.

  • Handle escalated customer issues, transforming challenges into opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Continuously improve customer touchpoints, ensuring that processes are efficient, scalable, and customer-centric.

  • 4. Business and Performance Management:
  • Drive the achievement of key performance metrics, including sales, installation throughput, team satisfaction, and customer feedback.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Compliance, Install and Survey crews, Training) to deliver an integrated regional business plan.

  • Utilise data-driven insights to optimise operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement best practices across the region.

  • 5. Quality, Compliance, and Safety:
  • Ensure all solar installations meet high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.

  • Work closely with the Compliance Team to maintain and enhance safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

  • 6. Strategic Planning and Innovation:
  • Identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in the solar industry and proactively adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Collaborate with other Regional Managers and stakeholders to develop and implement cross-regional initiatives that drive growth and efficiency.

  • Lead projects that align with the company's mission to drive the renewable energy revolution and expand the solar proposition in the region.

  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to lead teams in delivering exceptional customer service, with a passion for exceeding customer expectations.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in using data and analytics to inform decisions, optimise processes, and track performance metrics.

  • Project Management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.

  • Compliance and Safety: Knowledge of industry standards, safety protocols, and compliance requirements in the solar sector.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across different functions and build strong internal and external relationships.

  • (Nice to have) Solar Industry Experience: Proven experience in solar operations or a related field, with a deep understanding of the end-to-end solar installation process.
