Full Job Description
As a qualified Solicitor or Barrister, you will prepare and present cases in relation to a wide range of applications and diverse jurisdictions including:
-Magistrates' Court applications relating to domestic violence, stalking, sex offenders, and proceeds of crime
-Local Authority licensing matters
-High Court and County Court applications
-Training officers on legal issues
In addition, you will be involved in advising the police service on operational matters and a diverse range of issues affecting the police.
The role is principally based at our new location in Alfreton, Derbyshire, but will offer opportunities for agile and home working.

We offer a generous salary of £43,920 - £56,073 as well as key work/life benefits such as agile/home working, a competitive pension, generous annual leave, and flexi-time. There is overtime available for court attendance on Saturdays as part of our on-call rota.
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
