Song Writer

Duties: The Songwriter will be responsible for writing lyrics, composing music, and creating
melodies, with a particular focus on Afrobeat music. They will structure songs that align with the
artist's vision while shaping soundtracks that resonate with global audiences. The role requires
the ability to craft stories and musical themes that capture the cultural essence of Afrobeat and its
related genres, contributing significantly to the creative process.

Skill: The ideal candidate must have a high level of proficiency in understanding traditional
languages such as Pidgin, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Edo, Zulu, Xhosa, and Sesotho. The candidate
should possess some singing ability and have an excellent ear for keys, tones, and melodies,
which are essential for creating Afrobeat music. A deep understanding of Afrobeat music
structures, including its rhythmic patterns and cultural influences, is critical to delivering high-
quality work that meets artistic expectations.
