Sound Operator

We are seeking a talented and creative self-employed Sound Operator with expertise in audio editing, digital audio mixers, talkback system, Dante workflows, live calling systems, and digital audio. The ideal candidate will live studio operations, level monitor, adjust audio and broadcast equipment to ensure consistent quality. This position, on a rotating shift, involves setting up and dismantling audio equipment for events, recording live performances, and converting audio records for editing or broadcast.,

• Production: Live studio talk shows, all sound on set and/or location.
• Post-Production: Balancing, mixing, editing, and enhancing pre-recorded audio.
• Assessing studio acoustics and assembling/operating necessary equipment.
• Consulting with producers and performers to determine sound requirements.
• Selecting, positioning, adjusting, and operating sound equipment Live and recordings.
• Applying technical knowledge of sound recording equipment.
• Monitoring audio signals to identify sound-quality deviations or malfunctions.
• Thorough understanding of broadcast systems and technology.
• Multiskilled in cameras, sound, vision, lighting, graphics, post-production, and media management will be desirable.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting sound equipment.
  
  At least 3 years of industry experience as a sound operator in live production.
• Proficient with complex electronic equipment, including soundboards, equalizers, microphones, recording equipment, mixing consoles, and editing software.
• Strong analytical skills to assess and address the needs of daily shows.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and capable of prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communicator who remains calm under pressure and collaborates effectively in a multifunctional team environment.
