Full Job Description

We're looking for a talented, creative, and experienced producer. You'll be looking for great stories and other content that can work for both digital (Sounds) and linear platforms, you'll also support our radio teams making stand out crafted content for daily programmes and special editorial moments.

You'll have extensive experience of producing radio / audio content. Knowing the stories that matter to our existing audiences and the audiences that we could do more to serve via linear and digital platforms would be a real advantage. You'll know how to craft audio to make creative and engaging content that resonates with local communities and travels further via digital platforms and social media. We're looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated and bursting with original ideas.

BBC Radio Jersey and BBC Radio Guernsey are looking for a great audio producer. You'll be focussed on finding brilliant stories and content and shaping it for our digital audiences via the local Sounds rail, online and social media. BBC Sounds is a key area of growth for BBC audio, and this is a great opportunity to be part of it. The role is based in Jersey but will curate the Sounds rail for both Jersey and Guernsey. A secondary part of the job is helping to cover our social media posts for Jersey.

We're committed to telling amazing stories from our communities and bringing in new audiences through creating content which generates impact on demand and on air. We're a good humoured, fun, and lively lot, very creative and imaginative with the stories we tell audiences.

The Islands are a British Crown Dependency, with their own governments and legal system. Living here offers outstanding opportunities for everything from surfing to cycling and music. There's a vibrant local arts scene, great places to socialise and stunning coastal scenery. We also pay additional Channel Islands Weighting of £5,164 if you work full-time, or the pro-rata equivalent if you work part-time.
