Full Job Description

  • Responsible for the effective procurement of a portfolio of raw materials; coordinates with other colleagues to co-manage and develop the Lubrizol supplier base.

  • Proactively manages optimization of supply chain issues to ensure continuous supply

  • Consistently demonstrates understanding of supply chain economics to enhance our competitive position in the marketplace

  • Develop and execute sourcing plans for assigned raw material portfolio including contract negotiations, managing supplier relations, database management, and market analyses for key raw materials.

  • Shows sustainable leadership in the development of the most cost-effective and reliable sourcing strategies to support and strengthen our current position in end-markets.

  • Negotiate and identify innovative solutions that support supplier consolidation, improved quality, deliver, pricing and lead times, in line with corporate and department policies, procedures, and quality standards

  • Function as the raw material portfolio manager by handling relevant technical and commercial questions relating to that portfolio and taking appropriate action if necessary

  • Maintain alignment and being able to effectively lead global and regional procurement projects, priorities, and deliverables, including managing a global raw material coordination role

  • Report costs evolution of goods and services to support business price management (sales side)

  • Maintain purchasing records in SAP and other electronic forms, as necessary

  • Adhere and promote compliance with company QHS&E policies, practices, and procedures

  • Respect and apply all corporate and procurement policies, procedures and strategies

  • Represent Lubrizol in a professional, legal and ethical and maintain the integrity of the brand

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in supply chain, logistics, sales & marketing finance, economics, engineering, or other technical degree

  • At least 5 years of experience in the chemical industry

  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills. Other European language is a plus.

  • Must be able to relate well with individuals at various levels, inside and outside of organization

  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

  • ERP Systems experience, SAP and BW Knowledge are an advantage

  • 10-15% of travelling is required
