Full Job Description

This is key roles in our Single Point of Access service. Post holders will be required to work a mixed shift pattern Monday to Friday 7:00-15:00 - 11:30 - 19:30

The successful candidate will work within the Single Point of Access service. The post holder will be responsible for inputting new referrals on to the appropriate Customer Relationship Management and Electronic Patient Records Systems.

The successful candidate will receive in house training in all aspects of the band 3 referral advisor role. The post holder will all times need to respect patient confidentiality, and work within the trust protocols and legislative requirements.

The successful candidate will be able to work in a challenging and interesting environment and possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will be computer literate able to communicate with service users and professionals directly and have the ability to enhance the trusts values and behaviours to all telephone communications.

  • Good level of education (GCSE including English Language

  • NVQ 3 or equivalent experience or willing to work towards this qualification, Knowledge and experience of working with those experiencing mental health and/or learning disability difficulties

  • Be proficient in the use of computerised systems especially Word and Excel to a level to enable the production of a high standard of finished work

  • The ability to organise and prioritise own workload within an agreed schedule of work and to work under pressure and within agreed timescales, Ability to communicate effectively when under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills when dealing with service users, relatives, carers and other outside agencies either by telephone/ letter or face to face

  • Good customer care skills
