Full Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator to lead our team in providing exceptional support for students with SEND. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all SEND students receive the necessary resources, accommodations, and guidance to achieve their full potential., Team Management: Lead and develop a team of Learning Support Coordinators, overseeing their performance, training, and well-being.
Student Support: Monitor the progress and achievement of SEND students, ensuring they receive appropriate support and interventions.
Collaboration: Work closely with Curriculum Leads, Heads of Faculty, and teaching staff to implement effective strategies for supporting SEND students.
External Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for referral agencies, including Local Authorities, SENCo Networks, and feeder schools.
Data Management: Ensure accurate and timely data collection and analysis related to SEND provision.
Funding Management: Oversee the allocation and monitoring of funding for high needs students.
Training and Development: Provide training and support to staff on SEND-related topics.
Quality Assurance: Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement plans for SEND provision.

Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
Qualified Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) or equivalent.
Proven experience in managing and leading a team of educational professionals.
Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, policy, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment., Master's degree in education or a related field.
Experience working in a further education setting.
Knowledge of funding regulations and financial management.
