Special School Nurse

The nurse will work closely with education and other agencies to ensure the children achieve their full potential in school., The special school nurse will be responsiblefor ensuring that all children with complex health needs have detailed health care plans and that these are reviewed and evaluated on a yearly basis.

We would welcome applications from enthusiastic committed children's nurses or learning disability nurses with proven clinical experience to work in Chiltern Wood School. A nurse who has excellent communication skills and are able to manage their time effectively. An understanding of the needs of children and young people with Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) and additional health problems is essential.

Chiltern Wood School is a special school forover 215 children and young people who have a wide range of additional needs, this could be Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Condition, Speech Language Communication Needs and complex medical needs. We are one school across two sites in the High Wycombe area and cater for pupils from 3 to 19. We are soon to add a third site at Studley Green.
