Job Title: Specialist Occupational TherapistBand: Band 6Hours of Work (p/w) - Full time: 37.5 hoursService Centre/Directorate: TherapiesBase: Main base St George's HospitalAccountable to: Divisional Head of Therapies for Clinical Area, plus Professional Lead for Occupational TherapyReports to: Band 7 / 8a for clinical areaResponsible for: Band 5s and technicians on a daily basis, and undergraduate students on clinical placement. Assisting in running the team and deputising for senior staff where necessary.Key working relationships: Members of inter-professional teams both internal and external to the organisation., To provide Occupational Therapy to patients working without direct supervision. To be responsible for own clinical workload within a defined area and accountable for own professional actions. To provide specialised Occupational Therapy advice in relation to care of patients with a range of psycho-social, physical and emotional problems including terminal illness, working in an acute or rehabilitation setting.
