Specialised Occupational Therapist | St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Accountable to: Divisional Head of Therapies for Clinical Area, plus Professional Lead for Occupational Therapy
Reports to: Band 7 / 8a for clinical area
Responsible for: Band 5s and technicians on a daily basis, and undergraduate students on clinical placement. Assisting in running the team and deputising for senior staff where necessary.
Key working relationships: Members of inter-professional teams both internal and external to the organisation.

To provide Occupational Therapy to patients working without direct supervision. To be responsible for own clinical workload within a defined area and accountable for own professional actions. To provide specialised Occupational Therapy advice in relation to care of patients with a range of psycho-social, physical and emotional problems including terminal illness, working in an acute or rehabilitation setting.

The trust also provides a nationwide state-of-the-art endoscopy training centre.
