The Mid-Yorkshire Teaching NHS trust is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist to join our friendly, supportive, and driven team

Our busy cardiac service has undergone recent restructuring after the appointment of our new Cardiac Physiology manager, building on our strong reputation for very high standards of care

The Cardiac Investigations service provides a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive procedures including PCI service, Device implantation and follow up (CRT/ICD and home monitoring), Echocardiography (TTE, TOE, bubble/contrast studies and stress echos), Exercise testing, Ambulatory ECG/BP monitoring, Undertake a range of cardiac physiology tests and procedures, analyse results and formulate reports; including cardiac angiography, PCI, pacemaker/ICD implantation and follow up, remote monitoring, echocardiography, exercise ECG testing, ambulatory ECG and BP monitoring. Participation in cardiac on-call rota as appropriate to other areas of competence i.e., PCI service

Undertake clinical supervision and training of junior and trainee cardiac physiology staff and other professional groups.

Prepare and maintain specialist equipment and ensure that damage/ faults are reported quickly to the Medical Physics Service.

Participate in Continuing Professional Development and other developmental activities, including research and clinical trials

Report clinical incidents and adverse events to the Team Leader or Service Manager and external agencies as required.

Work with Team Leaders and the Service Manager in further developing the cardiac physiology service.

We are seeking committed individuals who have experience and knowledge in a wide range of cardiology investigations and commitment to participate in the cath lab on-call rota is essential. Candidates should be enthusiastic and dedicated to excellent patient care with a strong team ethos

A BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiology), STP MSc Cardiac Science or PTP BSc Cardiac Science or equivalent is required. Voluntary registration with AHCS or HCPC is desirable, or commitment to achieving this is essential.
