Full Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Children's Occupational Therapist to join our service, focusing on supporting children with physical disabilities or motor difficulties that impact their ability to participation in daily activities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a therapist with specialised clinical skills in this field to contribute to the leadership and development of the service.
+ Leadership Role: Collaborate with the team leader to support and develop the delivery of the service.
+ Project Leadership: Lead designated clinical projects aimed at enhancing service delivery and outcomes for children.
+ Team Support: Provide clinical supervision and guidance to other members of the occupational therapy team.
+ Caseload Management: Maintain a clinical role by managing a small caseload, ensuring specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and tailored interventions are provided based on individual needs.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to blend leadership and clinical work, making a meaningful impact on the lives of children with disabilities., + Provide a highly specialist, evidence-based Occupational Therapy service to a designated caseload of children with complex health and physical needs.
+ Assess and implement tailored intervention plans that focus on improving the child's functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.
+ Work alongside the team leader and other clinical specialists to drive service development and improvement.
+ Contribute to the creation and implementation of policies, procedures, and new initiatives to ensure best practices and high-quality care are maintained.
+ Lead clinical projects aimed at enhancing the occupational therapy services provided to children with complex needs.
+ Provide clinical leadership to the Occupational Therapy team, offering expertise and guidance on complex cases.
+ Deliver supervision, mentorship, and job shadowing opportunities to support the professional growth and development of junior therapists and team members.
+ Provide training and ongoing support to educational staff, parents, and families, helping them understand and implement strategies to support the child's functional abilities in school and at home.
+ Facilitate workshops or training sessions to share specialist knowledge and techniques to improve the child's participation in learning and daily activities.
