Full Job Description

With a flexible approach to work, the post-holder will work as part of a team to meet tight deadlines. A good knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology is essential as is a good standard of education..

The post involves interaction and collaboration with clinicians in all specialties, ensuring that procedures and diagnosis are correct and agree with national standards

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the department for a full time Specialist Clinical Coder, with enthusiasm and motivation to join our extremely busy Clinical Coding Department. The post holder must hold the NCCQ or have extensive clinical coding experience in an acute setting. They will have responsibility for the clinical coding of complex acute specialties, by abstracting clinical data from the patients records and translating it into diagnostic (ICD10) and procedure (OPCS) coding classifications.
