This brand new role has been created to extend our existing neonatal pharmacy team. The neonatal service at NUH is expanding, with a new, enlarged neonatal critical care unit due to open at our QMC site in December 2024.

If you'd like to be involved in shaping the exciting future of neonatal care in Nottingham, this is the job for you!, o To help lead the delivery of the clinical pharmacy service to the Neonatal Service at NUHo To partake in specialised clinical pharmacy duties ensuring core clinical pharmacy activities are undertakeno To provide leadership, management and speciality/service support roleso To line manage and support more junior pharmacists in the Family Health and wider Pharmacy teamo To ensure clinical areas are fully compliant with the Medicines regulations and legislation including those for Controlled Drugs

o To be responsible for full implementation of the Medicines Optimisation Strategy within the clinical area (s), clinical audits and Quality Improvement initiativeso Support & participate broader corporate medicines related initiatives as directedo To take full part in the weekend and bank holiday duty rota

The neonatal service at NUH operates across two sites, with neonatal ICU, HDU and Special Care cots at both the QMC and City Hospital campuses. We provide care to vulnerable babies from throughout the region, with QMC being a specialist centre for Neonatal Surgery. To meet increasing demand, the neonatal unit at the QMC campus is being rebuilt and expanded, with the new facilities due to open in December 2024.

In this role you will be be working with a larger group of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians working within the Family Health Division. Our team is friendly, supportive and dynamic, using our collective experience and expertise to strive to provide the best possible care for our patients.
