Full Job Description

You will be responsible for working directly with our clinicians, nurse specialists and finance teams to deliver safe and effective treatment to patients within the surgical admissions pathways at NUH.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced, motivated clinical pharmacist to take on responsibility for a rewarding area of the trust, with the chance to develop the service which is offered to this area.

Nottingham University Hospitals is in one of the UK's largest acute teaching hospital Trusts and has a national and international reputation for many of its specialist services and expertise. These include many surgical specialities including Colorectal, Vascular and Hepatobiliary which this post will be integrated into as part of the admissions pathways. Due to the current post holder moving on, this exciting position has become available.

The successful post holder will become an integral part of the MDT within the surgical admission areas in helping with the management of the medications used.

The post holder will also provide leadership to the surgical pharmacy team at the Queens Medical Centre helping support the junior members of this team., With over 19,000 staff, we are one of the biggest employers in the city with a central role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our local population.
