Full Job Description
The ideal candidate will be joining a dedicated band of Clinical Physiologists who perform a wide range of cardiac and respiratory investigations., To assist in the successful running of Cardio-Respiratory services here at RLH. You will be directly responsible for the performing and interpretation of highly technical investigations. You will be responsible for performing high accuracy in:
- Cardiac catherisation
- Exercise tolerance testing
- Stress/ dobutamine echo
- Ambulatory ECG analysis
- Community ECG analysis
- Tilt Table Testing
Candidates must have BSc in Clinical Physiology / Healthcare Science and work towards / already have RCCP status., BTEC HNC MPPM or equivalent - BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent / working towards
- Registered with RCCP / working towards. Desirable criteria
- ILS/ALS, ASCST and/or MSCST
- ECDL certificate
- Member of SCST
- Post graduate qualification, Post graduate experience within clinical Cardio respiratory undertaking a range of invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- Assess patients continuously Desirable criteria
- Significant proportion of experience spent in non-invasive cardiology procedures
- Previous experience with invasive cardiology procedures
- Evidence of CPD from a range of clinical cardiology sources
- Post graduate training in Cardio respiratory physiology, Diagnosing and reporting life threatening conditions Desirable criteria
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Good communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to concentrate for long periods of time
- Dexterity & ability to manipulate equipment.
- Preparing complex reports for various investigations/ Excellent organisational skills
- Dealing with frequent interruptions/ Unpredictable workload
- Ability to work to deadlines/ Ability to work under pressure and in emotive environment, Patient focussed
- Deal With being frequently exposed to unpleasant conditions eg body fluids and odours
- Deal with exposure to distressing circumstances such as death, aggression, verbal abuse. Desirable criteria
- 4 Undertaking training in specific speciality leading to BSE,BPEG, NASPE,ARTP
- Commitment to, and involved in delivery of training, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

We employ over 50 members of staff and provide excellent cardio-respiratory services to the people of Liverpool and beyond. Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
