Specialist Clinical Psychologist

You will work closely with experienced psychological therapists in two supportive teams where there is ample opportunity for continued professional development. We welcome applicants who enjoy working closely alongside other disciplines and within a context where multiple psychological approaches are valued.
You will work with people with different backgrounds and will ideally be passionate about equal opportunities and client-centred care. Working with clients across two secondary care teams, you will have an opportunity to develop experience and skills in psychological interventions with a varied client group.
We especially wish to develop systemic and group work in the teams. The post holder will work collaboratively with teams in different clinical contexts including group work, assessments, systemic and family consultations and individual therapy. They will receive regular supervision and access to networks to support their professional development. If desired, there are also opportunities to gain experience in different teams including our local Family Therapy service.
The locality base is in Woolwich. As a London borough, Greenwich offers a rich, culturally diverse and stimulating environment and the post will receive the outer London weighting., To provide a qualified Clinical Psychology service to clients of the ICMP (psychosis and bipolar) pathway across all sectors of care. This includes: providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy with individuals families and groups, consulting with families, team colleagues and non professional carers about psychological models and ideas, and working within the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures. There is also an expectation for the postholder to develop group and /or systemic and family work in these contexts.
