Full Job Description

The role of the Community CAMHS Nurse will be to develop and provide CAMHS nursing input to young people under 18 and their families. This role will support the team to manage their waiting list. The post holder will be working with young people and their families in need of mental health support. This will involve intensive working with a variety of clients in community settings, within client's homes, within school settings and in other local authority settings. Providing in-reach to inpatient settings and developing functional relationships with colleagues in a range of agencies is also pivotal to this role.

The person will be accountable for a defined caseload of clients, supported by the multi-disciplinary team and will receive regular clinical supervision from a senior member of the Service. They will also be expected to work jointly with other members of the team offering specialist CAMHS advice, consultation and training as required.
