If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you., We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Test specialist with a proactive and positive approach to software quality assurance. This role will be principally responsible for the testing and delivering application to support for a number of systems and platforms maintained by the products and services team.
The post holder will support the Lead QA (Senior Manager - Data Governance and Assurance) and their team to ensure that their work stream of programmes is planned and managed effectively, playing a key role in their successful delivery., + Take responsibility for assuring software quality, ensure bugs are fixed by developers to satisfaction and certify that functional requirements have been met to deliver business need
+ Implement a structured testing methodology for a host of information solutions Deliver early benefits to the organisation using Agile approaches within development project teams
+ Perform functional testing and regression testing
+ Analyse automation feasibility and implement automated frameworks where feasible Obtain project and system knowledge from Developers/BAs/SMEs to ensure a well-rounded understanding of business needs being delivered and identify test conditions/scenarios/cases that provide full and manageable test coverage
+ Provide comprehensive analysis of any issue/defect prior to recording it in a defect tracking tool and manage the tracking of defects until closure
+ Co-ordinate user acceptance testing, collate feedback and maintain master list of issues
+ Work with the Operations team using a devOps approach to ensure broader infrastructure, deployment and operational needs are designed into solutions
+ Assure that solutions implement design patterns agreed with the Architecture team to ensure NHSI's systems are designed to the highest levels of quality
+ Contribute to continuous improvement projects to constantly improve ways of working across the team and organisation
+ Demonstrate NHSI's competencies in line with the role level and be a role model for NHSI's values, This advert has attached Assignment Briefs/ information relating to roles currently vacant.
