Full Job Description

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 specialist Dietitian to work across our Mental Health services in Lincolnshire within our friendly and dedicated Dietetic team.

We're looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent clinical skills to provide specialist Dietetic support across a range of services within LPFT.

The post holder will be professionally accountable for their own caseload and delivery of effective, high quality specialist Dietetic support under the leadership of our Lead Dietitian.

This is an outstanding opportunity for career development, in an area of highly specialised clinical practice., Clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients - to organise this effectively and efficiently with regard to clinical priorities and use of time

Undertake comprehensive specialist assessment, treatment and discharge of patients including those with diverse and complex presentations and multiple pathologies. Use of specialist clinical reasoning, evidence-based practice, investigative and analytical skills

Engage service users in treatment planning decisions, in line with their individual goals.

Write clear plans of care for both the patients, carers and multi-disciplinary teams to follow.

Evaluate patient progress, reassess and alter treatment programmes as required, using standardised outcome measures where appropriate. Encourage and support staff in the use of appropriate outcome measures.

Provide specialist advice, teaching, training and instruction to patients, relatives, carers and professionals, to promote understanding of the aims of treatment, and to ensure a consistent approach to patient care.

Promote integrated working and contribute to the delivery of holistic care by actively participating in multi-disciplinary team meetings

Support the Lead Dietitian in monitoring and responding to waiting lists and manage workload

To support LPFT in the management of NG/enteral feeding.
