Full Job Description
There are 2 rotational dietitian posts within the team - one which is focused on prehabilitation 3 days a week for the upper GI surgical cancer patients based at St Mary's hospital, utilising the nationally acclaimed PREPARE for surgery. This is combined with 2 days non UGI inpatient caseload at Hammersmith hospital. The other rotational post supports the acute inpatient caseload for oesophageal gastric cancer patients both on the ward and in critical care at Hammersmith hospital. Within these posts, we will support you to develop your complex nutrition support skills. You will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality, evidence-based clinical service and will receive clinical supervision from an expert Band 7 dietitian
- To provide a specialist dietetic service to Upper GI surgery & cancer at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
- To work in liaison with the Clinical Lead Dietitian in the development, delivery and evaluation of the post.
- This post covers both in and outpatient work; the individual must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the management of patients in the specialist area. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Band 6 Specialist Dietitian to work within the upper gastrointestinal surgical cancer team based at Hammersmith and St Mary's Hospital. This team have previously won British Medical Journal Surgical Team of the Year.
