Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker to join the Early Intervention in Psychosis (STEP) service. This is a fantastic chance to become part of a well-resourced and supportive team comprising mental health nurses, social workers, psychologists, medics, carers, and peer support workers. Together, we work to enhance the quality of life for individuals, making this role incredibly rewarding. Our specialist service supports individuals aged 14-65 who are experiencing, or are at high risk of developing, their first episode of psychosis. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously while being supported by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, care coordination, outreach, and providing education and liaison support for family members and carers. Your work will focus on reducing the duration of untreated psychosis in the locality and delivering high-quality, person-centered care. - You'll provide the triage of initial referrals, assessment, outreach, education and liaison for young people and adults with first episode psychosis and work to reduce the duration of untreated psychosis.
- Deliver individual therapy/support and family interventions as a member of the Family Support Service to individuals and significant others.
- We are able to offer training within the role such as a 10 day course in Family Intervention in conjunction with Exeter University, as well as regular supervision and support from your manager.
