Full Job Description

As a Specialist Engineering Supervisor (Mechanical) you will be responsible for the technical supervision and planned maintenance of Trustwide decontamination assets to ensure the effective performance of all plant, equipment and building services. You will be responsible for the maintenance of equipment such as: Reverse Osmosis Plant, Softener Plant, Autoclaves, Sterilisers and Washer Disinfectors.

  • Be capable of discussing the impact of highly complex maintenance issues with tact, diplomacy and discretion, with a variety of NHS staff, suppliers, contractors and partners.

  • Have the ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications and translate that information into an understandable/workable format for both other Estates staff and clinical/nursing staff.

  • Be capable of delivering complex planned maintenance plans across a range of complex engineering disciplines ensuring that all risks are understood and accepted by all involved parties.

  • Be experienced in the use of all necessary tools and test equipment I compliance with Trust policies, procedures and industry best practice.
