Full Job Description

  • Perform oversight and controls over the operational aspects of the hedge funds operated by Janus Henderson (JHI) and administered by a third-party administrator. Includes but not limited to review of the accounting and Net Asset Value (NAV) information, balance sheet and investor returns.
  • Knowledge of differing hedge fund accounting practices.
  • Oversight of the performance fee calculations in operation for each of the funds.
  • Lead the implementation of performance fee models with the third-party administrator.
  • Review performance fee testing and manage the handover into BAU.
  • Document performance fee models and processes.
  • Experience of liquidity management tools, for example side pockets, redemption fees.
  • Support quality and timely response to investor queries in relation to NAV and performance fees.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

    Must have skills
  • Previous experience in a hedge fund accounting role
  • Understanding of performance fee models and their practical operation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to establish good working relationships with Stakeholders
  • Analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Enthusiastic, approachable and able to work well across team
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility of tasks and actions
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Nice to have skills
  • Private credit fund experience.
  • Experience of role overseeing third party provider
