Full Job Description

DWR are currently recruiting for a board-certified veterinarian in small animal surgery to join/lead our orthopaedics team. You will be committed to developing the hospital and providing high standards of care to both our patients and referring veterinary surgeons. You must be able to work as a team as well as independently supporting our clients, patients and clinical teams in our busy practice. This is a rewarding and challenging role that will require teamwork and dedication. Key roles include:

  • You will be a leader, providing high quality patient care and contributing to the future strategic growth of the service
  • Provide clinical services as an orthopaedic surgery consultant
  • Work collaboratively with all other services and foster good relationships
  • Undertake supervision of our residents, discipline specific and rotating interns and students
  • Demonstrate professional standards that will advance patient care
  • Be an ambassador for the team

    Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (or eligible to become a member)
  • Have an ECVS/ACVS/RCVS diploma, candidates who have completed an approved residency programme and can demonstrate significant advanced orthopaedic experience are also encouraged to apply
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills and professional approach
  • Provide evidence of your Right to Work in the UK
