Full Job Description

As a Trust we actively support you to develop your knowledge and skills via our Annual Development Review programme. You will also have the opportunity to learn from a team of experienced Specialist and Advanced Physiotherapists through the in-service training programme and there is support for external courses., We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

Services are based in the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Queen Victoria Centre, Morecambe. We also work closely with our GP colleagues as part of the Trust's Physiotherapy Triage Service based within the local surgeries.
AS PART OF THE INTERVIEW PROCESS THERE WILL BE A PRACTICAL COMPONENT SO THE CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND FOR INTERVIEW IN PERSON. REMOTE INTERVIEWS CAN NOT BE ACCOMODATED., We welcome applications from qualified physiotherapists with musculoskeletal experience and a valid HCPC registration. You may be working as an experienced band 5 and looking for an opportunity to progress in this speciality. We can support you to develop into this role.

This role requires active participation in the provision of Orthopaedic and Rehab weekend services.
