We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic, suitably qualified Physiotherapist to join and help lead the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Outpatient Physiotherapy service at University College Hospital (UCH).
This post will be filling a vacancy in our lower limb rehabilitation team which includes responsibility for overseeing lower limb fracture clinics and group-based rehabilitation classes including a bespoke ACL rehabilitation service. The majority of your caseload will be lower limb Orthopaedics including conservative management, post-op and trauma.
Within your caseload you will also see upper limb orthopaedic and rheumatology patients including those with complex persistent musculoskeletal conditions., Allied to your clinical work will be managerial and administrative duties, which will include the operational management of the lower limb group-based rehabilitation services., Please note that all correspondence regarding your application will be via email. Please note that if you are at present in a training position on the 2016 new junior doctor's contract and are applying for a Trust doctor role your salary will not be pay protected.
You will be placed on the appropriate point of the Trust Doctor pay scale based on your previous experience.

The Trust uses electronic new starter forms on Trac to collect personal details. Information collected is securely stored and used to set up the employee record on the ESR HR system.

You will be expected to have previous MSK experience at Band 6/7 level including MSK, Orthopaedic and Rheumatology patients. Ideal candidates will have a range of communication, assessment, clinical reasoning, and rehabilitation skills appropriate to the caseload.
You will be expected to provide an accountable, personalised high quality Physiotherapy service. Prior experience and knowledge of hydrotherapy would be advantageous. There is no weekend or on-call working associated with this post. The successful candidate will be working alongside other senior clinicians including the lower limb clinical specialist to help co-ordinate and evaluate the MSK Physiotherapy service with opportunities to advance and progress service development.
You will work to the highest standards to facilitate evidence-informed patient care, playing a key role in implementing, facilitating and developing Physiotherapy best practice in line with local and national guidelines. You should demonstrate evidence of ongoing CPD, knowledge of current legislation, good interpersonal, communication and clinical skills and the ability to work in a flexible manner., As a skilled clinician and leader, you will be able to prove your ability to assist in the education, training and supervision of less experienced Physiotherapy staff as well as other allied health and medical colleagues.
