Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Nurse Practitioner to join the Children and Young Peoples Autism Service. The post holder will be part of the children's and families care group working to assess young people across South Staffordshire that are referred in for suspected autism. The post holder will also work with assessment team to ensure robust and accurate assessments and reports are completed. The post holder will also work closely with the nursing and intervention team to ensure robust intervention is being provide to young people and families once a diagnosis has been received. This is a dynamic post that requires the post holder to work closely with multi-disciplinary/agency teams in addressing a range of issues with children and young people who may/have ASC.

Be competent and proficient in delivering the requirements of the role; working as part of the multi-disciplinary team with children & young people and Families in the Children and Young People's Autism Service. Have appropriate training in ASC Assessment To work across a health system collaboratively, especially with Mental Health and LD Services Demonstrate at all times the Partnership Trust's Values and Behaviour Framework. Be a Specialist Nurse Practitioner and have detailed professional and clinical skills and experience in the assessment and management of children and young people within NICE guidance and best practice. Be responsible for a defined population of service users. Have training and leadership responsibilities where appropriate and have utilisation of leadership experience and knowledge both clinically and managerially to ensure service performance and development improvement. Demonstrate initiative in finding solutions to clinical and managerial challenges.
