Full Job Description

Through internal promotion we now have 2 vacancies within our forensic community services. One post is within Westbridge hostel - a 14 bedded community hostel in north shields run in partnership with Tyne housing to provide additional support for people being discharged from secure hospitals or prison. This supports individuals and the service test out concerns about risk, develop skills and work towards independent accommodation., These post primarily assess occupational needs and initiate interventions that support pro-social occupational choices and routines with the re-integrating back into the community. You will work as a core part of the multidisciplinary and occupational therapy teams to provide:

  • Comprehensive assessment of occupational needs using both standardised tools and structured clinical observations

  • Set collaborative therapeutic goals to support the development of address occupational performance needs

  • Undertake 1:1 and group interventions in a variety of environments.

  • Assess and manage risks collaboratively within an MDT.

  • Carry a small defined care co-ordination caseload - FCS only.

  • Maintain standards of clinical documentation.

  • Provide clinical supervision to junior staff

  • Undertake Student placements.
