Full Job Description

As a Band 6 occupational therapist you will benefit from peer support and supervision programs as well as access to multi-professional clinical specialists in a range of clinical areas. You will have opportunities to develop advanced clinical skills and knowledge.

You will also be encouraged to be involved in service development, research, and audit, and supervise both students and junior staff, developing your teaching and leadership skills.

The multi-disciplinary therapy team provides a high-quality therapy service over seven (7) days. You will be required to participate in a weekend rota aligned to your clinical area which involves working a weekend shift once approximately every six (6) weeks with compensatory rest days.

St George's University Hospital Foundation Trust is looking for enthusiastic full-time Occupational Therapists to work as a Band 6 within our acute and rehabilitation services. We have permanent opportunities available on our acute rehabilitation rotation. These roles offer the opportunity to be part of a friendly, dynamic, and forward-thinking teaching Trust.

Therapists at St Georges work in specialist multi-disciplinary therapy services that have a strong focus on patient experience and continual improvement. We are looking for dedicated occupational therapists that are motivated and keen to develop their clinical specialist knowledge and skills.

The posts available are part of the acute rehabilitation rotation. This includes roles within Senior Health, STAR, Amputee Rehabilitation, Hand Therapy, Ortho-Geriatrics, Oncology, Acute Medicine and Trauma and Orthopaedics.

The hospital is situated in a vibrant and diverse community in Southwest London and benefits from onsite facilities such as restaurants and coffee shops as well as other local amenities and easy access to public transport.
