Specialist Occupational Therapist

The successful candidate must be an effective team player with excellent communication and organisational skills and have a passion for working in the Stroke and Neurology team. The main duties will include taking responsibility to manage a personal clinical caseload entailing the assessment, treatment and discharge planning of stroke and other Neuro patients within the in patient stroke ward, specialist intermediate care bed base and in their own homes as part of the Early supported discharge service. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, flexibility and time management skills in order to work within the demands of a busy service .The successful post holder will be expected to provide supervision and support to junior members of the therapies team and engage actively in quality improvement initiatives, service development and professional & personal development.
