Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced part time (0.8 - 30 hours) Occupational Therapist to join Southport Adult CMHT.

Your role will be to support the delivery of high-quality, specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to service users in the community with an identified occupational therapy need.

You will be working with service users who had a severe and enduring mental health needs. You will support team members in developing plans of care, managing risk and working collaboratively within the multi disciplinary team.

You will support the team as we change through transformation of community mental health teams by supporting the transition of care to primary care where appropriate., To utilise developed specialist knowledge to provide the professional contribution within designated Occupational Therapy Services and to assist in the organisation, development, co- ordination and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy Service in conjunction with MDT.

The post holder will contribute to an environment that works with local services to provide evidence based assessment and delivery of care, using the Model of Human Occupation.

They will continue with their own professional development and assist with that of other, junior OT staff. They will be required to have a flexible approach to working to ensure that the needs of their clients are met.
