An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Occupational Therapist who has the appropriate stroke skills and knowledge to join the Stroke Therapy team at Whiston Hospital., The successful candidates will:
- Deliver a high standard of evidence based care
- Be able to carry out complex holistic assessments
- Make prompt clinically reasoned decisions
- Participate in the discharge planning process, facilitating the patient's discharge to the most appropriate environment for their needs
- Supervise staff within the team and students on placement
The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills, be able to communicate effectively, have the ability to prioritise and demonstrate their organisational and time management skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work both individually and as a member of a team. For the right candidate, we would actively consider the role being a development post. The successful candidate would remain as a band 5 while they worked towards achieving an action plan, devised to develop the clinical knowledge and leadership required to undertake the role of Specialist Occupational Therapist., - Have the ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing working patterns as the team work their hours across a 7 day rota, participating in late shifts (11am-7pm)
