Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a pro-active, well respected and forward-thinking Pharmacy Team. We expect the postholder to be delivering high quality patient care and service to our Cancer patients.

The Oncology Pharmacy team provides services across both sites therefore you will be working at the Maidstone as well as the Tunbridge Wells Hospitalsite. This post will allow you to develop your clinical skills and gain experience as an autonomous specialist oncology pharmacy technician and the opportunity to provide Clinical Pharmacy Services to a wide array of cancer patients including solid tumour and haemato-oncology.

After a structured induction programme, you will join the Oncology pharmacy team to deliver an integrated Clinical Oncology Pharmacy Service to our cancer patients.

Main duties of the job

This role will ensure you provide an effective and efficient supply of medicines and advice from the Oncology Pharmacy Services to Cancer patients in the Kent Oncology Centre and ensure they are patient focused and delivered in accordance with GPhC code of ethics and standards.

This is a responsible role which requires a person with strong reasoning powers, initiative and confidence, who can comfortably interact with all levels of the Cancer Directorate and outside regulatory bodies.

You will liaise with the other nursing, medical, scheduling operational teams, and pharmacy team across both sites. You will be the first point of contact, so should be able to manage your workload to a high standard.

Please note that this role may often attract a high level of applications. Please note this role may close earlier than the original closing date so please ensure you submit your application as soon as possible.
