The main purpose of the role is to design, develop, deliver and maintain high quality Learning and Development (L&D) solutions for staff across the organisation, inspiring and motivating people to develop and maintain competence in their role, using effective and appropriate methods; to ensure individual and organisational needs are met to maximise potential., Applicants should be aware that it is not always possible to carry out adequate vetting checks on persons who have not been resident within the UK for the last three years. Ideally candidates will already hold a Level 4 Certificate in Learning & Development qualification or equivalent and have TAQA accreditation and have recent experience of delivering Method of Entry training.

The ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing is also essential, along with good working knowledge and experience, in the use of computer systems, including Microsoft applications.

Candidates must be able to complete the following courses:
Officer Safety Trainers course - National Public Order Tactical Training Course - National CBRN Responder Course - Taser Specially Trained Unit Taser Course - The Method of Entry Trainers Course.
Operational experience with Method of Entry (MOE) would be advantageous.

In addition, you must have the willingness and ability to travel for business purposes within West Yorkshire police area, regionally and nationally, and have a willingness and ability to work flexible hours, weekends and out of business hours to meet departmental needs. You will also be expected to be physically fit to PSU 6.3 bleep test standard.
