Full Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate psychologist (clinical/ forensic/ counselling) to join us at Ridgeway in our Secure Inpatient Psychology Service. The post would suit an enthusiastic Psychologist, valuing the opportunity to work collaboratively with members of a well-established multi-disciplinary team, where psychology is a core treatment offer. A key part of this role will be using clinical leadership skills to influence teams to embed formulations, psychological understanding and psychosocial interventions in everyday practice., We are the Ridgeway Secure Inpatient Psychology Team for TEWV NHS Trust., TEWV encourages and supports all staff to be vaccinated as this remains the best line of defence against COVID19.

As a service, we are keen to support and invest in the ongoing development of our Psychologists through CPD opportunities, so an interest in developing clinical skills across a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches is essential. The Psychologist would have the opportunity to gain experience working with a diverse population that includes male and female mental health, learning disability, autism and older adults, including those who may have experienced trauma and/ or neurological difficulties. The successful applicant will have opportunity to specialise in an area of interest.

The salary is dependent upon experience, the post is currently advertised at a Band 8a, however we are also keen to offer a Band 7-8a preceptorship. A structured job plan will be developed collaboratively to support this.
