Full Job Description

It is an exciting time to join our ambitious council, and our Senior Leadership Team is at the core of our ongoing transformation and are critical in achieving that ambition. Consequently, we are looking for an individual with the ability to provide support our assistant directors. You will work as part of a team of personal assistants, but will work closely with two assistant directors. There are opportunities to progress with our career grade progression scheme, as well as opportunities for training and development to support you in the role. Some of the key activities include:

  • Confidential personal support to Senior Leaders
  • First point of contact for anyone wishing to see or speak to a Senior Leader
  • Manage calendars and meetings including organising, attending and minuting meetings
  • Advise the Director of work deadlines and commitments and direct all reports through the appropriate governance channels
  • Be responsible for the upkeep of equipment and devices used by the Senior Leadership Team
  • Proofread documentation to be put in the public domain

    With the ability to work independently and pro-actively you will be responsible for providing comprehensive and confidential personal support. You will also work collaboratively with other PAs across the Council.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with people at all levels within the organisation and partner agencies, giving you the opportunity to learn a lot about the authority, so the successful candidate must have the ability to build strong effective working relationships and have exceptional interpersonal skills.
