Full Job Description

An exciting vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Dietitian to work as a Specialist HDU Band 7 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Greenwich., This post will be the inpatient lead for HDU (4 beds) and will work with the acute Band 6 and 7 posts at QEH.

  • Responsible for the 4-bedded HDU.
  • Actively liaise with tertiary referrals centers
  • Responsible for the safe discharge of enterally fed children to community teams
  • Actively involved in training students from London universities on the 1,2,3 Placement programme.
  • Provide Band 6 Paediatric supervision.
  • Participate in audits, service evaluations, and continuous professional development.
  • Take a lead in service improvements and developing policies and guidelines., 1. Improving representation at senior levels of staff with disabilities, from black, Asian, and ethnic minorities background, identify as LGBTQ+ and women, through improved recruitment and leadership development
  • 2. Widening access (anchor institution) and employability 3. Improving the experience of staff with disability 4. Improving the EDI literacy and confidence of trust staff through training and development 5. Making equalities mainstream

    We are looking for a dietitian who is keen to innovate and work together with our acute across site team and the HDU MDT. You will join a friendly department comprising 45 dietitians across the two Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust hospital sites and Lewisham community.
